18th Century Opaque Twist Wine Glass With Honeycomb Moulded Bowl C1780

Technical Description
 
A very fine Georgian 18th-century opaque twist wine glass. It has an ogee bowl with honeycomb moulding to the lower section. The stem consists of pair of multiply spiral bands outside a lace twist. Conical foot with a snapped pontil.

Period of George III, England c1780.
 
Condition
 
Excellent, no chips, cracks or restoration.

Comments
 
Honeycomb moulding is quite scarce and this is only the 2nd example we have had on an opaque twist stem in the last 3 years.
