Early Victorian Revolving Height Adjustable Stool.
A charming piano stool.
We bring to you this fine example of an Antique Victorian Rosewood revolving piano stool on a wooden height adjustable screw mechanism believed to be made around C1850. This good-looking stool is completely original and has its original polish throughout complete with lovely lightly faded original colour showing patina and character. This fine revolving stool is in fantastic original working condition and has been fully serviced. Surrounding the seatpad features a crossbanded rosewood edge above a 40mm diameter wooden screw into the octagonal decending base pillar that sits on a triform base on bun feet. The comfortable stool seat is upholstered in brand new full grain high quality maroon leather with a studded edge. The stool rotates 360 degrees the seat height can be adjusted by turning it into the base of the stool.
This chair is in amazing condition for its age as shown by the photographs however being an antique item of this age there are blemishes and scuffs here and there which we feel adds to its originality and heritage.
We have sympathetically restored this item maintaining original patina by just reupholstering the seat and carefully waxing this item to enhance the French polished surface and preserve it for many years to come.
