Technical Description
 
A superb 18th century plain stem wine glass. It has a rare thistle bowl with a solid section at the base. Conical folded foot with a snapped pontil.
 
A fine example with a large enough bowl for modern wines and a wide fold indicating an early example.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-blown around the time Benjamin Franklin invented his Franklin stove.
