A Rare Pair of Victorian Two-penny Licks

A rare pair of late Victorian two-penny licks. These unusual items date from the 19th Century and have deceptive pan bowls, with short rudimentary stems. Penny licks were widely used for ice cream and were the property of street vendors. One paid the penny, the vendor placed a small amount of ice cream in the glass and handed it over. It was then returned for further use with other customers (often without washing in between !). Much more rare are these two-penny examples for the more generous serving. Good collector's glasses.
