This is a Victorian hallmarked sterling silver sauce boat, London 1898 by Charles Stuart Harris, after the George II / III model. The body of fluted shell form with undulating rim with applied scroll work on a shaped pedestal foot with a gadrooned rim, the cast and applied handle formed as a glissant serpent. It is fully marked to front.
The maker''s mark is slightly rubbed. Otherwise it is in good general condition with mild wear commensurate with age.
