Condition
 
Table glass is usually heavily chipped. This piece is in very good condition with only a couple of fleabites to the prism cuts.

Height: 17cm Diameter: 21.2cm including the handle.
 
Technical Description
 
An early 19th century cut glass water jug. The scallop cut rim has a pulled pouring section and leads to a slice cut neck. Prism cuts above and below a wie band if diamonds. The piece rests upon a star cut foot.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-blown around the time the Irish Royal Navy captain, Edward Bransfield landed on the mainland of Antarctica.
