Antique Silver Cake Basket.

Description

Really good Early Victorian swing-handle silver cake/fruit basket; of circular form on a pedestal foot with a spirally lobed body. The interior is decorated in foliate pattern and the border is a wonderful shell and scroll design; the handsome, fine, cast handle is a joy. As crisp as the day it was made, a great piece of antique silverware.
