Technical Description
 
An 18th century balustroid stem glass patch stand. A wide tray with rib moulding with a turned up rim. The stem is comprised of a shoulder and basal knops. A folded and conical foot with a rough pontil supports the piece.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-made around the time the ruins of Pompeii were rediscovered.
