Good Burr Walnut Decanter Box

Description

A good quality mid-Victorian DECANTER BOX complete with its original set of four cut-glass decanters. The box itself is of beautifully-figured burr walnut, with brass edges; two shaped inset brass carrying handles and a (vacant) shaped brass cartouche to the lid. This opens to reveal the set of four original cut-glass decanters with shaped stoppers, set within the original ruby red plush velvet lining. An excellent example. 10ins high; 8.5ins wide; 8.5ins deep. (25.5 x 21.6 x 21.6cms)25.5. Circa 1875
