A Gorgeous St. Louis 19th Century Carafe

Description

A lovely late 19th Century French gilded glass carafe. This charming piece has a mallet shaped body with a slice cut neck. Gilded bands decorate the rim, shoulders and foot. The main part of the body is decorated with an all over etched cameo surface, heightened with gilded bow and floral swag detail. A quality, usable piece of table glassware. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips, clouding or cracks. There is some minor loss to the gilding, commensurate with age and use.

Maker :- Probably St. Louis but unmarked.
