Technical Description
 
A set of four cut and engraved 19th-century port wine glasses. Ogee bowls, the rims engraved with Scottish thistles and bands of flute cuts below. Ball knop stems above plain feet with large polished pontils.
 
A fine set of glasses and not one we have had before.
 
Historical Context
 
Hand-blown around the time Spain sold part of Florida to the US for $5 million on the 20th of October 1820.
