Technical Description
 
A Dutch 18th-century wine goblet with a round funnel bowl with a solid section at the base containing an air tear. The bowl has been engraved with crosshatched masonic arches around flower baskets above a pavement. The stem has hollow ball and inverted baluster knops. Conical foot with a snapped pontil.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-made around the time Blackfriars Bridge across the River Thames in London opened to traffic on the 16th of November 1769.
