Technical Description
A beautiful Victorian engraved decanter with its original hollow fern leaf engraved stopper with slice cuts towards the base. A band of printie cuts around the neck with swags of ferns and flowers below. Excellent quality workmanship and one of the best decanters of its type we have had.
Historical Relevance
Hand blown around the time the Carnegie Hall opens at 881 Seventh Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Carnegie Hall is named after Andrew Carnegie (a Scotsman) who paid for its construction. Its main purpose was for use as a performance venue for classical music.
