This beautiful PAIR OF VICTORIAN CRESCENT-SHAPED OPALINE GLASS VASES date from circa 1870.

They are handpainted with BIRDS, possibly Great Tits, perching on sprigs of APPLE BLOSSOM. The backs are also painted with blossom sprays.

The VASES are in good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. They are a true PAIR as the individual scenes are designed to face each other.

The Crescent Shape is not one found commonly in VASES of this sort, which only goes to emphasise their eye-catching quality.
