A Gorgeous Dutch Silver Mounted Spirit Jug

A gorgeous 19th Century silver mounted spirit jug from the Netherlands. The tapering glass body is beautifully elegant and has a star cut base The mount is hallmarked silver and has a wide, engraved pouring lip and neck. The handle is decorated with acanthus leaves and to the top is a facet cut ball stopper. A delightful example and a great gift idea. Dimensions below,

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks to the glass. No dents or splits to the silver.

Marks :- Two Dutch marks including date letter.

Date :- 1879.

Origin :- Dutch.

Height :- 29.5 cms. (Including stopper).

Diameter :- 8 cms. (widest point).
