A Fabulous Pair of Early Victorian Silver Mounted Wine Bottles

A fabulous pair of early Victorian silver mounted wine bottles. These lovely examples are of tapering form with an elongated neck and polished pontils to the bases. The necks and stoppers are silver and in fruiting vine pattern, each one is sealed with a cork. One bottle is in striking sapphire blue, the other in rare amethyst. An unusual and appealing pair of table bottles and examples of practical antique tableware. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or holes to the stoppers. No cracks or clouding to the glass. Each bottle has some nibbles to the mouth inside the rim, shown in photograph and commensurate with age and use.
