Technical Description
An 18th-century opaque twist firing glass with an Ogee bowl above a double series opaque twist stem consisting of pair of spiral threads outside a pair of multiply corkscrews. Thick firing type foot with snapped pontil.
Technically this is a ''short wine glass'' with a thick firing type foot which is quite rare.
Historical Relevance
On July 27th 1760, The Scottish School of Design was founded in Edinburgh. It later became the Royal Institution and finally the Royal Scottish Academy.
