Massive Size Silver & Cut Glass Claret Jug

Description

Massive size Victorian period, German cut glass and silver claret jug. Outstanding cut glass body of tapered form with solid silver handle, central band and top, lid and finial. The silver is hallmarked .800 as pictured below. The jug has a very nice star cut base. The claret jug is obviously heavy, even when empty due to its huge size, it will take 3 bottles of wine to fill up. It is a real statement piece. The condition is very good with no flaws at all and no dents or scratches to the silver.
