Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Silver Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a matching George V hallmarked sterling silver milk jug and sugar bowl. They were assayed in London in 1934 and made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd. of 112 Regent Street.

They both have a gadrooned rim and are raised on circular footed bases. The sugar bowl has two handles, and the milk jug has one handle.

The sugar bowl has quite a bit of damage and a repair to the recessed area beneath the rim. They both have some small and not significant dents to the body. Otherwise they are in good order with wear commensurate with age.

The total silver weight is 232g / 7.47 oz t.
