Technical Description
An engraved 18th century Jacobite Sympathy wine glass. It has a waisted round funnel bowl engraved with a Jacobite Carnation leaves and a large moth. Colour twist stem consisting of alternating red and white spiral tapes outside a white gauze. Conical foot with snapped pontil.

Jacobites and their love of carnations are well documented.
It shows her large red and white carnation above her right breast with further carnations in her hair.
