A Handsome Victorian Silver Mounted Flagon Decanter

A fine Victorian silver mounted flagon decanter. The body is of wide and rounded form, with a polished pontil mark to the base. The handle has a teardrop blown through and the matching stopper is of steeple form. There is a hallmarked silver collar and pouring lip. Flagon decanters were often used for wine, Whisky or other spirits and this would make practical and decorative alternative to the wine or spirit bottle. Dimensions below.
