Technical Description
 
A rare example of an 18th-century facet cut champagne glass. Flute bowl with a detailed engraved band around the rim with engraved stars. Diamond facet cut stem containing a large air tear. Conical foot snapped pontil. An exceptional example which you won''t find elsewhere.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-blown around the time Robert Burns wrote his version of the Scots poem Auld Lang Syne in 1788.
