Technical Description
A truly magnificent 19th century serving wine bottle, flashed cranberry with slice cutting to clear on the base and around the base. The bottle features a gentleman falling from his horse on one side and cartouch of Scottish Thistles and English Roses with the initial AE on the other side. Large polished pontil to the base. This is a fantastic piece of workmanship. the engraving of the highest stam=ndard and the theme is most unusual...obviously, the rider had had too much wine.

Hand-blown around the time Queen Victoria chose Ottawa as the capital of Canada on the 31st of December 1857.
