Description

A wonderful and highly sought after cut crystal biscuit box dating to around 1880, Victorian in period.

It is quite magnificent with the intricate and decorative cut glass and the unusual basket shape.

The lid is automated, the handle is moved to right and the left hand lid lifts, the handle moved to the left and the right hand lid opens, a beautifully executed piece of engineering.

The lids, handles and fittings are silver plated, the lid beautifully shaped and beautifully engraved.

A couple of minuscule fleabites, insignificant but mentioned purely for accuracy. Superb condition, measuring 7" x 3 3/4" x 7 1/4" tall to top of handle.
