Technical Description
 
An excellent pair of green wine glasses dating to the late 19th century. They have thickened ovoid bowls above slice cut stems featuring slice cut basal knops. The foot is finished with a star cut pontil. An excellent pair with a good weight. Ab unusual form which sits well in the hand.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-blown around the time Cleopatra''s Needle was erected on the Victoria Embankment in London, having arrived in England on the 21st of January that year (1878).
