19th-century Nailsea glass carafe. Shaft and globe form decorated with twisted blue and white trailing and an applied angular neck ring. The piece rests upon a circular base with a rough pontil.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time The Jacobites were victorious over British royal troops at the Battle of Inverurie on the 23rd of December 1745.
