Harrach, Bohemia, c1890. Period of Francis Joseph I.

Condition

Excellent, one vase has a small chip and bruise to the rim. Very minor.

A pair of black glass Harrach enamelled vases. The body is beautifully enamelled with thistles daffodils and birds, bordered with white spots.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time Study in Scarlet, the first US edition of Sherlock Holmes was published in 1890.
