An Extremely Rare Lithyalin Glass & Silver Mounted Scent Bottle

A rare 19th Century lithyalin glass scent bottle with silver hinged lid and attaching loop. The lid is domed and inside is a fitted glass peg stopper. The lithyalin glass body is of flattened circular form, with feathered cutting to the edges and is very tactile. Lithyalin glass is found in a variety of colours, including this variations of red. It was created in Bohemain by Friedrich Egermnann (1777-1864) and it's names derives from the Greek 'lithos' meaning stone. A superb and sought after collector's item. Dimensions below.
