Technical Description
 
Engraved 19th century amber glass mell decanter. Mell form with a tapering neck and a squat body. The piece is decorated with engraved fruiting vines. A polished pontil completes the piece.

Hand-blown around the time the first portion of Southend Pier was completed in 1830.
