Technical Description
 
18th century facet cut firing glass. A drawn cup bowl with facet cuts towards the base transitions into a facet cut stem. This all rests upon a thick firing foot with a broad polished pontil. A very fine example.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Hand-blown around the time Robert Burns wrote his version of the Scots poem Auld Lang Syne in 1788.
