Technical Description

18th century opaque twist ale glass. An elongated round funnel bowl upon a double series opaque twist stem. The twist is made up of a spiral gauze with a solid core. This all rests upon a conical foot with a rough pontil.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time the first patent for a one-piece pencil with eraser was issued to American inventor J. Rechendorf of New York City.
