Technical Description
 
A façon de Venise holy water ewer. The bulbous body features an applied handle with a moulded shell finial and three pinched arches around the rim. A fine spout is present on the front of the piece. The foot is finished with a rough pontil and is made from the same gather of glass as the body.
 
Historical Relevance
 
Handcrafted around the time the Musée du Luxembourg was established in 1750.
