Technical Description
An 18th century mixed twist wine glass. The bell bowl rests upon a mixed twist stem. This is comprised of two pairs of spiral threads outwith a loose cable containing an air column. A conical foot with a rough pontil supports the piece. It's quite rare to find this twist combination.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time HMS Victory was launched at Chatham Dockyard on the 7th of May 1765.
