Technical Description
A set of six 19th century opaque twist wine glasses. The round funnel bowl is decorated with a band of slice cuts. The opaque twist stem is comprised of a pair of spiral tapes outwith a gauze column. The piece is supported by a conical foot with a polished pontil. Very unusual to find opaque twists from this era as a set of six.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time of the American Civil War (1861 to 1865).
