Condition

Excellent, age-related wear as shown. There is some minor bloom within.

Technical Description

An engraved 19th century green glass union decanter. Mell form with a band of engraved shamrocks thistles and roses. The piece retains its original white metal ring pull stopper and features a polished pontil.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown and engraved to commemorate the acts of union 1801. Glass featured this style of engraving for decades after the acts were passed.
