Technical Description

A moulded 18th century pedestal stem champagne glass. The flared cup bowl has been rib moulded, this rests upon an eight-sided pedestal stem with diamond moulded shoulders. A folded foot featuring further rib and diamond moulding with a rough pontil supports the piece.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time the British settlement of Halifax, Nova Scotia was founded in 1749.
