An 18th century baluster champagne glass. A lipped ogee bowl rests upon a knopped stem featuring a swelling knop. The piece is supported by a domed foot with a rough pontil.

Historical Relevance

Hand-blown around the time the Engraving Copyright Act 1734, also known as Hogarth's Act was passed by Parliament to protect original engravings against unauthorized copies.
