This is a 19th century Bohemian ruby flash glass vase. It was made for the German market and is hand engraved with German castles from the Rhineland region. It is of octagonal section. The base is painted with a scrolling floral motif.The engraved castles include Rheinstein Castle, Godesberg Castle, Koblenz Castle, Ehrenbreitstein Castle, Stolzenfels Castle, Nonnenwerth, Ehrenfels Castle, and Schloss Johannisberg.There is a chip to the rim and a few small nibbles elsewhere. Otherwise it is in good order with wear appropriate to its age, such as to the underside of the foot.All items come with free shipping throughout the UK.
