It is of octagonal section. The base is painted with a scrolling floral motif.
The engraved castles include Rheinstein Castle, Godesberg Castle, Koblenz Castle, Ehrenbreitstein Castle, Stolzenfels Castle, Nonnenwerth, Ehrenfels Castle, and Schloss Johannisberg.
There is a chip to the rim and a few small nibbles elsewhere. Otherwise it is in good order with wear appropriate to its age, such as to the underside of the foot.
