Large English Cut Glass and Crystal Antique Chandelier

Description

A wonderful quality English chandelier. This incredible piece is in three tiers and has 14 lights. The top coronet is a lovely cut glass bowl from which dangle unusual antique glass drops, the next section of the central column is a further glass dish from which hang vertical chains of button drops studded with large rosettes and large cut Albert drops. The glass central balustrade issues three tiers of cut glass arms each holding cut glass bobeche drip pans from which dangle icicle drops. Swags of antique button chains drape between the arms and the chandelier is dressed overall with large crystal pear drops and cut glass Albert drops. A large faceted bottom ball finishes off this fabulous chandelier. c1880
