Fine Decanter Box : Full Set of Decanters & 12 Glasses

Description

A fine mid-19th century rosewood fitted DECANTER BOX complete with its full set of four decanters & stoppers and set of twelve glasses.

Probably French in origin, this fine box is veneered in figured rosewood with twin gilt ormolu side handles and opens to reveal the satinwood-veneered interior. An ingenious mechanism allows the framework tray of decanters and glasses to be raised, or removed entirely if required with use of the central cast ormolu handle. A beautiful decanter set complete and in fine condition.
