Birmingham 1912 Hammered Solid Silver and Cut Glass Scent Bottle by John Grinsell and Sons.

Description

Birmingham 1912 English hallmarked solid silver and cut glass tubular very stylish scent bottle in the aesthetic taste, made by John Grinsell and Sons.

Very attractive hammered design to silver top, having gilt interior. The original interior stopper is also present, and is tightly and perfectly fitting.

Hallmarks are very clear.

Plain cut glass body, having a star cut base, and with no damage.

The contrast between the hammered silver top and the plain cut glass bottle with star cut bottom is eye catching and unusual.

Size- 2 inches long by 1 inch diameter, or 1.25 inches wide including hinge projection.

A lovely and functional scent bottle in very good condition, which would make a great gift for the collector of novelty silver or of scent bottles.
