Description

A gorgeous Victorian cut glass decanter in the Gothic style. This superb example has flashed blue body and stopper, cut-through with slice and porthole cutting and a star base. A stunning and useable example.

Condition :- Excellent, with no cracks or chips. There are some striations in the glass of the neck, which are not damage and part of the manufacturing process (shown in penultimate photo).

Origin :- English.

Date :- c1880.

Height :- 27.5 cms. (including stopper).

Diameter :- 15.5 cms. (widest point).

Date of Manufacture

Jeff Sims Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
