Description

Birmingham 1932 Art Deco English hallmarked solid silver and cut glass rectangular dressing table or soap jar by Adie Brothers.

This would have been used to store and seal a bar of soap, and now makes a wonderful jar to store anything on dressing table or desk, such as jewellery and desk tidy items.

A very unusual and superior quality jar with a large engraved heavy weight silver top having a gilt

interior, over a cut glass body.

Size-3.5 inches high by 2.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep.

Weight-190 grams total, silver 30 grams.

A lovely and useful item for dressing table or desk, and suitable for either a man or a woman.

In very good condition.

See two other listed jars with the same shape and engraving, from the same original set, available in different sizes, as well as a similar tall one from another set.
