A Very Fine Coromandel-wood Decanter Box

Description

A particularly good quality mid-19th century brass-bound coromandel-wood DECANTER BOX in excellent condition.

The dome-top case is of beautifully figured coromandel wood, which is banded and edged in brass, with recessed shaped "military" style brass handles to the sides.

The front is hinged and opens forward to reveal the set of four original cut-glass decanters and stoppers in 'mint' condition, each of which is in an unusual bow-fronted style. Lovely box.
