Edwardian jewellery, spanning roughly 1901 to 1910, is known for light, symmetrical patterns, refined metalwork, and frequent use of central gemstones paired with delicate seed pearls.

Brooches from this era frequently featured yellow gold, rose gold, or platinum mountings set with coloured gemstones such as amethyst, peridot, or sapphire, alongside natural seed pearls.

Authentic British pieces usually bear full hallmark stamps detailing the gold fineness, assay office mark (such as Chester or Birmingham), and date letter, alongside characteristic lightweight scrollwork craftsmanship.

A delicate gold bar brooch can be pinned to a tailored blazer lapel, fastened across a silk scarf, or placed on the collar of a button-down shirt for a subtle vintage accent.

Clean gently with a soft dry cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, or submersion in water, as moisture can loosen seed pearl settings and degrade delicate mounts.
