Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

This Edwardian solid silver trinket box exhibits the distinctive curves of the Art Nouveau style. The piece takes a circular form, measuring 2 cm high, 4 cm wide, and 4 cm deep. Smooth polished surfaces define the vertical sides and the base, whilst the push-fit lid bears an embossed profile of a woman with flowing hair alongside floral details. Clear hallmarks appear across the sections, including the maker's mark for Henry Matthews and Birmingham 1902. Inside, the detachable lid reveals a gilt lining. The silver metal catches the light with a bright, reflective finish against a dark background, showing no signs of wear. A collector might place this small container on a bedside table to store keepsakes or medications in a traditional interior setting.

Edwardian Art Nouveau silver combines flowing organic lines and stylised natural forms, such as flora and maiden profiles, with early twentieth-century metalworking techniques.

These boxes were constructed from sterling silver or silver plate, utilising repousse and casting processes to form intricate relief motifs.

Authentic examples bear official assay marks and hallmarks indicating silver purity, maker initials, location, and date stamps.

A silver trinket box serves as a functional accent placed on a bedroom dressing table, bathroom tray, or vanity surface.

Preserve the surface by wiping with a non-abrasive silver polishing cloth, avoiding aggressive chemicals that remove natural oxidisation within recessed details.
