This pair of nineteenth-century Neoclassical table lamps brings a sense of grand Regency style to an interior space. Each piece is constructed from silver-plated metal, presenting a polished silver finish across the entire surface. The design incorporates classical urn-shaped sockets, tapered square column shafts, and tiered square bases. Fine decorative details include festoon ornamentation and delicate mouldings along the stepped footings and column sections. Electrical cords are attached to the upper shafts. These lamps measure 50 cm high and 120 cm wide. They suit placement on a sideboard top in a living room, dining room, or hallway to provide warm accent lighting.

Neoclassical silver plate lamps feature designs inspired by classical antiquity, incorporating motifs such as tapered square columns, classical urns, festoons, and architectural bases typical of late 18th and 19th-century European design movements.

During the 19th century, silver plating was applied over base metals such as copper or nickel silver, frequently incorporating weighted metal cores inside the base structure to ensure stability.

Authentic 19th-century examples often display makers electroplate marks near the base rim, slight copper or nickel base-metal exposure in high-wear areas, crisp chased details, and evidence of historical conversion from candlesticks.

Position silver table lamps symmetrically on a sideboard, console table, or mantelpiece paired with neutral fabric shades to introduce metallic contrast and structured height to contemporary rooms.

Clean silver-plated surfaces gently using a soft microfibre cloth and a mild silver polishing compound, avoiding abrasive chemical cleaners or excessive pressure that could erode the silver layer.
