Antique 2.05 Carat Ruby & Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1900

Description

A stunning antique ruby and diamond cluster ring. At the centre is an unheated natural ruby displaying rich-purplish red, surrounded by eight chunky, high white and internally clean old mine cut diamonds in silver cut-down settings, above a D-shaped 18k gold shank.

Accompanied by a ruby report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the ruby shows no indications of heating.

Cut:  Oval cut ruby and old mine cut diamonds.

Colour:  The diamonds are G to H.

Clarity:  The ruby is eye clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat:  The ruby is 2.05 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.20 carat.

Circa:  1900.

Size:  L (UK) or 5 1/2 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The ruby is 7.1 x 6.5mm. The head of the ring is 14.4 x 14.2mm. Sits 7.9mm from the finger.

Weight:  4.03 grams.

Metal:  The ruby is set in 18k yellow gold. The diamonds are set in silver. The band is 18k white gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
