Antique 20th Century Oak Bookcase

1900 - 1920
Description

A charming antique 20th century oak bookcase, with a simple and practical design. The bookcase features a moulded top above an open interior fitted with four adjustable shelves, each supported on removable wooden pegs allowing the shelf heights to be altered to suit. The lower section is finished with a shaped apron, adding a little decorative detail to the otherwise useful design. A good-sized and versatile bookcase with plenty of useful storage and an attractive traditional appearance.

CONDITION REPORT:

The bookcase has age-related wear throughout, including scratches and surface marks commensurate with use. Two of the shelves are later replacements, as pictured. The remaining shelves are adjustable and removable. There is general wear to the timber and finish, but the bookcase remains solid and sound overall.
