This Art Deco sterling silver hip flask dates from 1930. The piece takes the form of a curved rectangular body with softly rounded corners, rendered in a bright silver colour with a polished metallic finish. Fine surface scratches, scattered tiny dings, and the hallmarked stamping on the lower side are visible on the metal surface. The top holds a threaded screw cap with a finely ridged edge, attached to a hinged bracket secured beside a small bayonet cap mechanism. The object measures 8 cm high, 4.5 cm wide, and 1.3 cm deep. Place the flask on a sideboard top in a living room, study, or hallway as a decorative display piece or use it during outdoor events and travel. The compact proportions allow the container to slide easily into a pocket for portable use during sporting occasions, walks, or gatherings.

Art Deco silver hip flasks from the 1930s feature clean geometric lines, smooth surfaces, and functional engineering, reflecting the streamlined aesthetic of the interwar period.

Traditional high-grade hip flasks are crafted from sterling silver, featuring a minimum purity of 92.5 percent, often accompanied by a cork-lined bayonet or hinged mechanism.

Authentic British pieces display hallmarks including a lion passant for sterling quality, an assay office mark, a date letter, and a makers mark stamped onto the body or cap.

A silver hip flask functions as a functional barware item or a decorative object on a tray, side table, or display cabinet within contemporary living spaces.

Clean silver externally using a soft microfibre cloth and specialised silver polish, avoiding submersion in water to protect internal cork seals within the cap mechanism.
